The Windows installer ships without a code-signing certificate: SmartScreen may warn you on first launch, and Smart App Control may refuse the file on recent Windows 11 installs. macOS: not offered for now, the executable has never been tried on a Mac.

What it does

A password vault that never leaves your computer.

KDL Passwords keeps your credentials in an encrypted vault (AES-256-GCM) stored on your own machine. You remember a single master key. There is no account, no cloud sync and no server: if your connection drops, the vault still opens.

  • One password to remember for all the others
  • Your credentials stay on your computer, encrypted
  • The vault opens even with no internet
  • No account to create, no syncing
  • Windows, macOS and Linux

Pick your system

Direct download, no account and no sign-up. The Windows installer ships without a code-signing certificate: SmartScreen may warn you on first launch, and Smart App Control may refuse the file on recent Windows 11 installs. macOS: not offered for now, the executable has never been tried on a Mac.

SHA-256 checksums for every file are published on the downloads page, so you can verify that the file you received is really ours.

Security

What the software does with your data

The vault is encrypted locally. KDL TECH has no access to your passwords and cannot recover them for you: keep your master key safe.

Written by KDL TECH

A named workshop in Les Abymes, not an anonymous publisher. Company number published in the footer.

Verifiable download

The SHA-256 fingerprint of every file is published: you can check what you install.

No account, no cloud

The software runs on your machine. Nothing leaves for the internet without your say-so.

Support from the person who codes

A question or a bug: you write to the author of the software, not to a form.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I forget the master key?

The vault stays unreadable. That is the trade-off of genuinely local encryption: nobody, not even us, can open it for you.

A question about KDL Passwords?

Support comes from the workshop that wrote the software.
