One file, one click. A temporary access opens for the duration of the session: you see everything that happens and can stop it at any time.

On Linux, you're not an administrator of your computer? Get the no-install version (instructions below).

The program shows an access code, for example KDL-A1B2-C3D4.

Give it to your technician: nothing opens until they have received it. Don't have a code yet? Call us on WhatsApp at 0690 70 60 08.

You can download the file right now: only the code actually opens the access, and it only works once. Only run this file if you have yourself contacted KDL TECH and are expecting a session.

How it works

Three steps, no technical skill required

  1. Install. Windows: unzip the .zip and double-click KDL Assistance. Mac: unzip the .zip and drag the app into Applications. Linux: double-click the .deb to install it.
  2. Open KDL Assistance. The app displays an access code and a button to copy it. Read it out to your technician, or send it to them.
  3. You allow it. When your technician connects, the app asks for your consent. Every action is then shown in plain view, and the End session button cuts off access immediately.

Does your computer show a warning?

That's normal for a recently downloaded piece of software. Here's what to do, system by system.

Our tool is new and not "signed". It is perfectly safe.

  1. Click "More info".
  2. Then "Run anyway".
  3. Finally "Yes" when asked for permission.
On Mac: "file from an unidentified developer"

This is normal macOS behaviour for any downloaded file. Three clicks:

  1. Double-click KDL-Assistance-Mac.zip to unzip it, then drag KDL Assistance into the Applications folder.
  2. In Applications, right-click KDL Assistance, then Open.
  3. In the window that appears, click Open again.

These three clicks are only needed the very first time you launch it.

On Linux, without being administrator

Installing the .deb package requires an administrator password. If you don't have one, get the no-install version (an .AppImage file): it opens directly, nothing is installed, and no password is needed.

Once the file is downloaded, a double-click won't do anything at first. That's normal. Just once:

  1. Right-click the downloaded file, then Properties.
  2. "Rights" tab (or "Permissions").
  3. Tick "Allow executing file as program".
  4. Close the window, then double-click the file.

No such tab? The file isn't on your Linux drive (USB stick, Windows drive). In Downloads, right-click an empty area, then "Open in terminal", paste this line and press Enter:

chmod +x ~/Téléchargements/KDL-Assistance-Linux.AppImage

Nothing appears: that's normal. Close the terminal and double-click the file.
